~ Lancelot and Guinevere ~
Fated lovers. The most forbidden love. The destroyers of Camelot. However you think of them, you must admit that Lancelot and Guinevere are the most famous couple of all time.
Lancelot was the sole creation of Chrétien de Troyes, who first wrote about the famous white knight in The Knight of the Cart also known as Lancelot. De Troyes created the character of Lancelot for one sole purpose, to be the lover of the Queen, Guinevere. I highly recommend reading this story, along with Lancelot Du Lac.
